With the exhibition "Tsiber tarõn" we brought the inconceivably wide-open Siberian landscapes into the old Võru train station building.

Two deportation trains left Võru train station on 26 and 29 March 1949, respectively, with 2,241 people, of whom 1,098 were women and 582 children. The journey for those deported from Võru took more than three weeks. The destinations of the first train were Kalachinsk train station in Omsk Oblast and the train stations of Kharik, Zalari, Angarsk, Irkutsk and Markaryevo in Irkutsk Oblast. The destination of the second train was Tulun train station in Irkutsk Oblast.
