In 2019, we planted Prunus padus ‘Novosibirsk’ trees near the memorial stones dedicated to the deportees, and named them "Blossoming Monuments". The planted trees complement the memorial stones, symbolising the adaptation and survival (struggle) that are at the very core of the Siberian experience. A growing tree carries within itself the spirit of healing, and is a living and changing form reminiscent of memory itself: the processuality of keeping memories alive and transformation over time.
In 2019 the Blossoming Monument (Õitsev monument) was displayed at the Haapsalu railway station as a part of the Siberian Childhood art program. Later we planted them across Estonia by the railway station and commemorative monuments.
